How Do I Claim Credit for This Product?
After live streaming concludes on March 30, 2020 ACC will send you an email with a link that you can click to complete a brief evaluation and claim credit. If you can’t find this email, please contact ACC at Assessment@acc.org and request that it be resent to you.

 

ACC.20/WCC Anywhere is intended for all professionals involved in delivering cardiovascular care, with particular emphasis on physicians, scientists, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and practice administrators. Medical students and trainees, technicians, dietitians and other health care professionals will also benefit.

Joint Accreditation Statement


In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF). ACCF is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Accreditation for Physicians
The ACCF designates this enduring material for a maximum of 67.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

ABIM Maintenance of Certification
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 55 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

 

Accreditation for Nurses
The ACCF designates this activity for 67.75 CNE contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Accreditation for Pharmacists

ACCF designates this continuing education activity for 28.25 contact hour(s) (2.825 CEUs) of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

This product offers AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, ABIM Medical Knowledge MOC points, CNE contact hours, and CPE credits based on the number of hours you spend watching presentations. You may re-enter the product as many times as you wish, but you can claim credit only once and must claim credit by May 1, 2020. 

 

To receive credit for this product, you must:

  3. View the session(s) of your choosing.
  4. Look for an email from ACC that you will receive after live streaming concludes on March 30. This email will contain a link that you can click to complete a brief evaluation and claim credit. If you can’t find this email, please contact ACC at Assessment@acc.org and request that it be resent to you.
  5. After completing the evaluation, enter the number of credits you wish to claim. Credits claimed should reflect the total number of hours that you spent reviewing the Credit Information and watching sessions.

ACC.20/WCC Statement of Educational Need/Purpose
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of death throughout the world. This year, ACC.20 together with the World Congress of Cardiology (WCC) will bring a global focus to cardiovascular care that combines late breaking science with interactive, innovative education. At ACC.20/WCC, all members of the cardiovascular care team will receive essential education highlighting ongoing research that seeks to improve outcomes in several areas of CVD as well as addressing numerous well-defined, evidence-based practices that struggle with implementation. In this era of rapid transformation, ACC.20/WCC provides perspectives from around the world to address practice gaps, to optimize cardiovascular care, and to update clinicians on the latest science and advances in CVD.

 

ACC is dedicated to providing needs-based education that is independent of commercial interests and fosters change in learners’ knowledge, competence and performance to ultimately improve patient outcomes. This educational activity aspires to:

  • Provide a stimulating environment for information sharing of new knowledge and presentation of research with a goal of improving cardiovascular disease management for all patients
  • Facilitate translation of cardiovascular science to all members of the care team leading to high-quality, patient-centered care
